Now I know why cats have 9 lives

Amazing.

Up until last night she was sick, groggy, wouldn't let me near her, just wanted to sleep on my bed.

I went out to the local diner to meet up with some friends from out of town, and came home to a miracle. A MIRACLE!

The food dish was half full of kibble. The water bowl was empty. And the litter box- well, let's just say it was full. How so much poop can come out of a little cat, i don't know. But if there was ever an award for the cat who made the most poo, she would get an Olympic Gold.

And best of all, she was playing and running around the house, met me when I opened the door, rubbed up against my legs and did her happy kitty dance.

Right now she is snoozing on my lap as i type. Six am is too early to be awake if you are a cat.

Thank you all for your love and support . She is my best friend, and I am blessed to have her. and I am blessed to have such great readers.

Definitely back to Mental Health issues now, and no more about Holly.

In the mean time, let me dance around the apartment to the tune of "Happy Happy Joy Joy!". I would post the video, but it's been taken off of You Tube. (Ren and Stimpy. Great cartoon).

Hey, a sick kitty IS a mental health issue!

Besides, it's your blog and you can write about any d*mned thing that's on your mind.

Welcome back, Ms. HollyCat.

Eventually, I caught up on Holly. That was something of an ordeal you two have been through. So glad, she's doing fine again!

thank you all. She is doing much better, still not 100 percent, but eating and playing and sleeping.....

Still has problems moving her back left leg, but, it's most likely a bad sprain.

She really is a good kitty. If I can ever afford a video camera I will post some videos of her.

I'm very glad Holly is doing better. I actually think I can help you with this. See, I'm a cat with IBD and it sounds exactly like what Holly is going thru.

See, I was all backed up and they cleaned me out and it happened again and again. So, the last time they cleaned me out and I got a shot of steriods - I was told to take Laxitone daily for 2 weeks and then 2-3 times a week to maintain things "moving thru."

Laxitone is that hairball stuff that comes in a tube. You can get it at most pet stores.

I had occasional flair ups until we switched to a hypo-allergenic food. I now eat Prescription Hill DD (it comes in three yummy flavors) and WD (in chicken). The DD is more hypo-allergenic. I have not had a flair up in YEARS and as mommy and the VET say I now "poop like a champ" and my attitude is much better because I feel all around better.

Really, I feel so much better now and mommy is so happy because she knows I'm happier.

I will purr and pray for dear Holly to keep feeling better. I hope you will stop by my blog sometime. I like making new friends.

Hi Holly! We read about you on the cat blogosphere site. W eare purring for you to get better. Our mommy hadded a cat who could not poop and hadded to go to the v-e-t all the time. the v-e-t gived him Lactulose and it did help. He said also that canned pumpkin works on cats to make them poop too. We hopes that Holly is feeling all way better soon

Glad to hear things are going all the way through for Holly now.

And personally, we think you can write Holly any time you want to.

PS: FWIW, we think there is a copy of the Ren & Stimpy 'Happy Happy Joy Joy' song available here, at least for the moment. This one is funny, too.
