Van Gogh is coming to NY!
Once again MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York City will be holding a Van Gogh exhibit. MoMA houses Starry Night in it's collection.
For all Van Gogh lovers, tickets are available online, here.

I saw the Van Gogh exhibit the last time it was in the city, and made a pilgrimage to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
This is the only artist i will never tire of. If anyone wants to go with me, let me know!

Oh I wish.
Wow, how lucky you are!
Enjoy yourself xxx
mmmm.....I'd like to go to New York just for the exhibit...
ah, I look forward to the day that I can travel again...
I'll meet you in front of the museum. lol
I also went to his museum in Amsterdam.
He has left more than 800 paintings and what is shown is so little.
Enjoy the exhibition.
I wish I could go! Van Gogh is my favorite!
I was in Holland, when I saw a painting of his that rocked my visual world.
It was a simple still-life of white grapes. The thing that blew me away, as a painter, was that way back then, he'd used a highlight of the very palest of pinks. It was just a suggestion of movement over the green grapes and it was exquisite.
Now, from colour theory in Art School, I know that red is a forward colour. But Van Gogh knew it, instinctively. Like an oft-quoted phrase, we may get weary of his most famous paintings.
But to actually see his work in person, particularly his formative work, is a reminder of what we can achieve by following our own truth.
@Immi, I wish it was traveling to other countries too.
@Raspberry- not going????
@Gianna, I hope you are well enough to travel soon, with hubby.
@Ana, I would like to meet you too. I loved the museum in Amsterdam. Come to NY. Bring Stan!
@Pink Floyd, I wish I had money to send you a plane ticket...
@Stephany- ditto what I said for Pink Floyd. Only afterward we would go shopping!
@Dano- I hope you can go. Do you live on the bus route or train route?
