This just spoke to me for some reason.

WHEN I am dead and over me bright April
Shakes out her rain-drenched hair,
Though you should lean above me broken-hearted,
I shall not care.

I shall have peace, as leafy trees are peaceful
When rain bends down the bough;
And I shall be more silent and cold-hearted
Than you are now.

Sara Teasdale

(I am not suicidal this evening, just melancholy).

SUSAN~

I love that poem. It is so rich and lush.

I am sorry to hear that you are in a melancholy mood. This time of year is so hard, what with the weather, family obligations and all the insane pressure of the "Holidays", which are actually hard work and often costly!

Cuddle up with Holly and read her a good book. It's a great way to keep your mind off your inner ache, without staring mindlessly at a TV showing endless Christmas Specials.

Susan, thinking of you...

The photo of the bluebird scared me. Why?

My dad and I have a pact that when he dies, he will come to me in the form of a bluebird and I will know he is ok. I saw the bird, thought of my dad and prayed he is ok. He should be, just talked to him an hour ago.

I'm sitting fairly close to you, in Delaware and am shooting some good vibes your way RIGHT NOW!

I'm about to lose myself in season 2 of Friends...just me and the dog hangin' out.

It's all good!

Girl, stick your tongue out, shake your ass and talk in an accent. It may not cure what ails you but you may get a chuckle and that's a good thing.

Hugs

@Dano-I am just getting over my yearly cold, that's why I feel miserable. 60 degrees the other day and today it's 30!

I actually like the Yule Log on TV!

@Christina, I miss you! I didn't mean to scare you. The picture was on the LOL Cats site the other day, and I just thought it was interesting.

That is beautiful about you and your dad. I like birds. As does the cat, but for different reasons.

That bird is funny. You don't see enough sarky birds these days ;)

Here's hoping the melancholy drifts off the same way it came in!
