I can relate to the kitty in the picture. Tonight I am feeling so alone, dog-howling-in-the-wilderness lonely, unfulfilled and unfulfilling, hopeless. I don't understand why I had to get stuck with this illness that strips your soul like a vulture does bones. It has taken my innocence, and I don't know if I'll ever find myself again.
I may not have a tail, but I have a temporary tattoo of a phoenix. I went to the zoo today and they had them there. It is gold and sparkly. Gold, refined from the ashes. In the words of Maya Angelou, "Still I Rise", like the phoenix.

ReplyDeleteI hope you and Holly are doing well.
Littlewolf
@Littlewolf, you said it better than I could. Amen.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Holly is fine, sleeping in a ray of sunshine, tummy exposed to it, softly purring.
I love the image of Holly purring in the sunshine. Sounds nice and relaxing.

Littlewolf,
ReplyDeleteI wish I could purr
I think it would be cool to purr. I also wish I had an actual tail, instead of just a virtual one...

Littlewolf
Littlewolf, I would love a tail too.
