R.I.P-

I feel my childhood just went totally out the window.

Rest In Peace, and Steinbrenner, you are a bastard for tearing this down.

  3. Hate to say it, but the Red Sox had the right idea -- they were proposing tearing down Fenway, but after an uproar they are carefully, seat-by-seat, renovating the park with the Green Monster instead.

Alas, rumors have it the new owner of the Cubs (whoever it is -- they bidding is still ongoing) may tear down Wrigley Field. Sacrilege!

  4. Larry, you are a Sox fan? Even Johnny Damon left the Sox for the Yankees!

And Coney Island Astroland is no more.... little by little all the places I hung out as a child and pre teen are going away with the wrecking ball....

  6. Yeah, it's tough, but the stadium was getting old and decrepit. :( I wish it could have been left up as a historic monument.

*I'm a New Yorker so I totally know how you feel about this being torn down!!!*
